AI and Experiential Design Course

Description: The AI and Experiential Design Course, developed by Air University’s VECTOR Office, helps faculty move beyond traditional approaches to instruction by combining the principles of immersive and experiential learning with the practical capabilities of generative AI. Through a highly interactive, hands-on learning experience, participants explore how immersion, presence, and the Immersive Experience Design can be used to intentionally design more engaging and meaningful learning without assuming that immersion requires advanced technology.
Participants then build practical AI literacy through AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, generative AI tools, agents, applications, and AI-enabled workflows before bringing the two areas together. The course ultimately challenges faculty to shift from simply using AI or adding technology to instruction toward intentionally designing learner-centered experiences in which AI can enhance interaction, decision-making, personalization, feedback, problem-solving, and authentic application. Participants leave the course with practical frameworks, tools, and an applied design experience they can use to rethink and improve their own courses, lessons, and educational workflows at Air University.

- Apply experiential and immersive design principles to create engaging, learner-centered educational experiences without relying on advanced technology.
- Demonstrate foundational AI literacy by using generative AI, prompt engineering, AI tools, and agents to support instructional objectives.
- Integrate AI into experiential learning to enhance interaction, personalization, feedback, decision-making, problem-solving, and authentic application.
- Design an AI-enabled learning experience using practical frameworks and tools that can be applied to courses, lessons, and educational workflows at Air University.
