About this Event
"Lipstick at the Scene of a Crime", and exploring desire, femininity & self-possession after reclaiming yourself.
NY-based R&B/Soul artist Agyakomah brings her latest EP, "Lipstick at the Scene of a Crime", to life in an intimate, cabaret-inspired live experience exploring desire, femininity, self-possession, and what happens when you reclaim yourself.
Because if choosing yourself is wrong, who wants to be right?
An immersive night of live music, storytelling, and movement, the show reimagines the Ghanaian-American artist’s genre-blending sound and witty lyricism in a jazzy supper-club world. Touted by SHEEN Magazine as “definitely someone to watch,” and with music featured in Sephora campaigns, Agyakomah brings her signature energy to the stage, weaving her original songs together with recognizable pop and R&B favorites, backed by a full live band and dancers. Guests can also become part of the story through an interactive confession moment, sharing something anonymously, as tame or as wild as they dare.
After performing across the Northeast since the release of her debut project, "A Diva’s Manifesto", Agyakomah brings this production to the stage for the first time, transforming the world of "Lipstick at the Scene of a Crime" into an evening that is sensual, playful, theatrical, and unapologetically alive.
Come dressed in your absolute best, bring a confession you’re ready to get off your chest, and enter the scene for an evening of music, desire, and reclamation that leaves you feeling a little bolder, a little freer, and more alive than when you walked in.
