TRUST MEETING
FOR URENUI WHENUA – LOT 4A SUB PART 3, SECTION 24, BLOCK IV WAITARA SD
On Wednesday 5 August 2026 and Sunday 9 August 2026
Te Rā: 5/8/26 and 9th August 2026 (our hui was over two nights)

Whanaungatanga – we started the hui with whanaungatanga to reconnect with each other.
Previous Minutes of 10th July 2023
We went through the minutes from the last hui.
Matters Arising
1. Leasee Peter Stokes – Peter Stokes is the leasee and has been paying $4,200 per annum since 2021. We feel it is timely to increase the lease payment as the rates have been steadily rising in the last five years. Greg will touch base with Peter and then set up a meeting with him.
2. Greymouth Petroleum (GP) – Regarding Greymouth Petroleum, Greg will follow up with Peter to see if GP contacted him regarding access to the land and if they did contact him to gain access, we will follow up with GP.
3. Trust Account - As we agreed in the last hui to add Ange as a signatory for the account, Ange will follow up with Jonathan Puthod, Fitzroy branch of TSB to get this sorted. We will also inquire into separate entity at the same time.
4. Rates - the rates were recently paid and were $3,568.00 for the year.
5. AGM - We will need to hold another AGM over the next six months. Greg will be back in New Zealand mid December so we will have an AGM on Friday 11th December.
Bank Balance
Trust Bank Balance as at 1/8/2026 is $33,408.21
Other Business
1. Danielle
Greg will contact Glen Peri to see if Danielle is ready to re-engage as a trust member for our whenua. If not, we will need to find out the process for trustees wanting to step down from the Trust and appointing new trustees.
2. Inland Revene requirements for profits on Trust land
Madonna raised the issue/question of what are our requirements to Inland Revenue when our whenua makes a profit. Greg and Ange believe there may be threshold and as our whenua has made a very minimal profiit ($2,000 in three years), there would not be much to declare. We will follow this up at a later date.
3. Riperian planting aroung the riverbank
This had been discussed a long time ago. Ange will go back through the minutes ot find the details regarding this and let everyone know at our next hui.
