Tired of singles events that are all small talk and no substance? Looking to meet fun, like-minded singles in the Chicago suburbs? This is the event for you!
Every one of Single + Social events follows a loose structure designed to spark actual conversation. We do some of the work for you! You'll show up to partake in our thoughtfully designed structured activities, mixed with plenty of free time to mingle at your own pace. We like to keep it fresh, therefore no two of our events run exactly the same.
This time, join us for a relaxed in-person mixer designed for the 40 & up crowd. It’s the perfect chance to socialize, mingle, and maybe even walk away with a new friend or a new connection... all in a friendly and laid-back atmosphere. Don’t miss out on this awesome night to meet new people and have a great time!
What each ticket includes:

* Your ticket includes a welcome drink (options curated for this event) to kick off the night. Drink selection varies by venue. For venues with alcoholic drinks, you have the option of getting a non-alcoholic beverage instead.
A tip for the item listed above, if applicable, is already included, but if you'd like to show some extra appreciation, feel free to tip your barista, bartender, or server directly!
Additional food and drinks may be available for purchase at the venue.
This event is for you if:
- you're a single person who enjoys a chill, laid-back atmosphere
- you want to make friends or meet a potential connection
- you know how hard it is to meet singles in the wild, especially in the suburbs full of families

- When should I arrive for this particular event? Any time between 6:00 pm and the end time stated on this event description. Structured activities kick off early, do with that what you will!
- How many people will be there? Every event is a little different (and that's what makes each one great)! Sometimes we have a large turnout, and sometimes it's a smaller, more intimate group. This event is advertised on multiple platforms, so the number of tickets shown on this page most likely does not reflect the total number of people attending.
- What if I come alone? You won't be the only one! One of the reasons we host these events is because a lot of single people don't always have someone to go to events with them.
Ticket pricing:
- early bird - $25 (limited tickets available)
- general admission - $30
- bring-a-friend - $40
- last-minute/at the door - $30 (cash only)
Event guidelines:
- please be respectful as this is a welcoming space for everyone
- if something feels off at any point, you can always check in with the host
- all ticket sales are final
Good to know:
- check-in starts at the time the event starts
- you can arrive at any time during the event, but the experience might be better the earlier you arrive (unless specified otherwise for the event, ex. for scavenger hunts, where you have to get there within 15 minutes of the event start time, otherwise we won't be able to put you into a team)
- a friend is optional; you can come solo - most people do
- parking available on-site
- by attending, you agree that you may appear in photos/videos taken during the event (if you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let the host know at check-in)
- best moments from this event may be featured on our social media and website
- come for the event, stay for the experience

- possible goodies give-away or a raffle drawing (towards the end of the event)
Code of conduct
This is a social, inclusive event. All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others at all times.
The following behaviors are not tolerated:
- Harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate comments
- Discrimination of any kind
- Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behavior
- Pressuring others to participate in activities they are uncomfortable with
The organizer reserves the right to remove any participant from the event at any time for violating these guidelines, without refund.
Important event terms:
By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, and/or attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, decisions, and conduct at all times during the event.
The event organizer is not responsible for any injuries, losses, damages, or incidents that may occur during participation, including while traveling between locations or interacting with other attendees or third-party businesses.
Participants are expected to follow all local laws, as well as the rules and policies of any businesses or public spaces visited during the event.
A little something to keep in mind:
We are hoping you connect with at least another person; with that said, this is a singles only experience, NOT a match or dating service. And while we would love to guarantee that you'll meet someone you really click with, we can't promise that. What we can promise is that we'll do our best to give you every opportunity to connect with others through fun icebreakers, plenty of chances to mingle, and a space where meeting new people feels easy and fun.

- What's the age range for this event? The age range is specified in the listing title (and most likely the photo) above.
- Is this LGBTQ+ friendly? Absolutely! All singles are welcome here, regardless of who you're looking to meet. Some events, like singles mixers with rotational rounds, may be geared toward a specific gender or orientation, so check the ticket types for details while purchasing.
- When should I arrive? Check-in opens at the event's official start time. There's no early check-in window, so please keep this in mind when planning your arrival.
- What if I'm running late? Structured activities kick off early, so try to arrive on time. If you're late, just find the host. Some events require you to arrive within a specific time frame (ex. scavenger hunts) so you must get there within that time frame to participate. Please read the full description of the event above.
- Do I have to leave the venue once the event ends? If the venue is open to customers after this event ends, feel free to stick around. It's possible you might have other attendees stick around with you.

- Is it awkward if I come alone? Most people do! Our structured activities are built to break the ice, so you won't be standing around solo for long.
- Can I come with a friend? Of course! Just make sure they grab their own ticket (or get our bring-a-friend ticket).
- How many people usually attend? This varies per event. Usually the event is intimate enough for real conversations and connections to be made, but not so large that you get lost in the crowd.
- What is your refund/cancellation policy? We do not offer refunds. You are able to transfer your ticket to someone else, provided they meet the criteria for the ticket type you purchased (including but not limited to, gender and age requirements) for this specific event.
- Will there be a way to connect with people I meet after the event? In our experience, exchanging contact information face-to-face at the event is usually best! Our activities are designed to make those connections easy to make in the moment. In addition to that, depending on the event, we usually ask you to fill out an online check-in form with your information, in the case someone wants us to pass along their contact info to you. Please take a couple of minutes to complete the check-in form before the event starts or when you get to the event. We are unable to contact you if you do not complete this check-in form online. *Even if you have completed this check-in form for a previous event of ours, you need to fill it out again for each event you attend. We will also give you a link for the check-out form, which you will use to let us know if you want us to give your contact info to anyone you meet at our event.
- I'm not in the age group listed for this event. Can I still attend? We're flexible by a year or two (or maybe even three), but if you're outside of that range, we cannot have you attend. The other guests are expecting to meet people in the age range specified and we want to honor that. Don't worry, we host events for various age groups. Join us for one of those! Please do NOT purchase a ticket for an age group that you're not in. Sometimes tickets sell out for some age groups because we have limited seats and need to keep to a specific amount of attendees. If that is the case, purchasing a ticket in another age group (outside of the one you're in) will not guarantee you will interact with others in your own/preferred age group.
- Is the venue accessible? We want everyone to feel comfortable joining us. If you have specific accessibility needs, reach out to us at [email protected] before the event so we can make sure you're well taken care of.
