Let’s set the tone for Classic Weekend — the Afterglow way.

Security Screening Process:

• Proof of ticket, registration or payment must be supplied
• Valid ID must be provided as proof of age
• Attendees must enter the event through the designated entrance
• Attendees must go through a security check
• Blankets will need to be tossed over a shoulder or arm to go through screening
• Folding chairs and strollers will be searched
• Appropriate attire will be enforced (see Dress Code Enforcement)
• Attendees will be surveyed for intoxication and appropriate conduct

Guests Can Be Turned Away or for the Following:

• Improperly entering the event
• No proof of admittance for paid event
• Carrying bags that do not meet policy criteria (see Clear Bag Policy)
• Transporting prohibited items in bag or on your person (see Clear Bag Policy)
• Wearing clothing that does not adhere to the Dress Code
• Underage drinking (20 and under)
• Visible impairment or intoxication from drugs and/or alcohol (see Alcohol & Drug Policy)
• In possession of visible and/or concealed weapons of any kind (see Weapons Policy)
• Inappropriate conduct and/or event interruption

Clear Bag Policy

The Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Montgomery, Alabama has instituted a "Clear Bag Policy." The Clear Bag Policy requires attendees of City Events to use clear bags to bring in their belongings. The purpose of the policy is to prevent hazardous and dangerous items from entering the event, program venue or space. Clear bags must generally have transparent material that security personnel can easily search.

Clear Bag Requirements:

• Only clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are approved. Including backpacks, handbags, cinch, purses, cross fit, fanny packs, and plastic freezer
• There should be no colored or tinted designs that may obstruct the view of the contents inside
• No logos, buckles, grommets, hardware or décor can be concealing any part of the bag
• Weapons, sharp objects, non-clear bags and drugs are prohibited
• Every member of a group is entitled to bring a permissible bag

Exception:

• The exception to this policy will be made for all medically necessary items
• Security will be present at event or program entrances to screen all bags and medically necessary items
• Once items pass security screening, guests may bring medically necessary items into the event, program, or venue

Dress Code Enforcement:

To maintain a respectful and family-friendly atmosphere, the City of Montgomery enforces a strict Dress Code at City Events, and all attendees are expected to adhere to the guidelines.

Guests Must Be:

• Fully clothed and wear shoes
• Clothing should not display offensive, inappropriate or vulgar language or imagery
• Clothing must cover essential body parts and should not be too revealing or provocative

Alcohol & Drug Policy:

• Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 21
• Age verification by driver’s license or passport is required to purchase or be served alcohol
• Adults are not allowed to purchase and serve alcohol for anyone under the age of 21 at events
• Outside alcohol is not allowed – all alcoholic drinks must be purchased at the event
• Alcoholic drinks are not allowed beyond the event space
• Illegal drugs are not allowed at events
• If someone arrives visibly intoxicated from alcohol and/or drugs, they will be turned away
• If someone becomes intoxicated from alcohol at the event, law enforcement and/or security will be notified and they will be required to leave
• Do not drink and drive

Weapons Policy:

To further ensure a safe, fun, and happy event for all attendees, absolutely no guns, knives, or weapons or any kind, whether visible and/or concealed, are allowed at a City event.

Violation of the Above Policy Can Lead to the Following:

• Relinquishment of the gun, knife, or weapon of any kind to law enforcement
• No admission to the event
• Arrest if instruction and warning are not heeded

Crowd Release Notice:

Please note that by entering an event of the City of Montgomery, you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.

As such, your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the City of Montgomery and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.

By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.
