About this Event
The League’s monthly After Hours events are informal social gatherings that allow members to visit the offices of leading design practices and see work on the boards.
is an architecture studio with offices in New York and Amsterdam. Founded in 2008 by Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu, the practice approaches each commission as an opportunity to “rethink conventions and to design spaces that support more open, collective, and sustainable ways of living.” Committed to, in the firm’s own words, shaping “a stronger civic realm,” SO–IL has developed a diverse portfolio that encompasses cultural, civic, residential, commercial, and educational facilities. The firm’s collaborations with artists, curators, and cultural institutions contribute to the craft, material, and experiential quality of its architecture.
