Session 1 in a four-part series this year on developers and architects by the AIA Bkyn Housing Committee
About this Event

This storytelling session with developers pulls back the curtain on developers and their projects. Three architects-turned-developers share stories about their first projects that got them hooked: Aida Stoddard (Senior VP, MAG Partners), David Ruff (Founder,NAVA), and Evan Wiskup (Founder, Wiskup Projects). Moderated by architect Jane Lea of Lea Architecture, the evening blends storytelling, small-table discussion, and Q&A to help you decode the language and priorities developers actually care about when choosing projects.

Then, Wilson Parry closes the night with a demo of Property Scout — powerful 3D zoning analysis software covering all of NYC, including City of Yes updates. Every attendee gets one free week of access. It's a game-changer.

The setting? The rooftop at Grimm Brewery designed and built by David Bench Architects — oven pizza & snacks included in the ticket. While good house-brewed drinks are available to purchase.

Second session in the series will be on June 24, also at Grimm Brewery, and will be a workshop in Proforma and figuring out the numbers to make a project pencil out.

Attendees earn 1.5 AIA LU.
