In 2004, Mike Nelson transformed Modern Art Oxford’s galleries with Triple Bluff Canyon, an immersive installation shaped by the political context of the Iraq War. With a new exhibition by Nelson now unfolding across our upper galleries, artist Jeremy Millar joins us to revisit Triple Bluff Canyon through the text he wrote for its accompanying catalogue.
This is the third and final session in our Anniversary in the Archives Book Club series, which brings together key texts from across Modern Art Oxford’s history to reflect on past exhibitions, ideas and the artists who shaped them. Across the series, we explore themes of internationalism, education and the foregrounding of visionary female voices.
