AN INDUSTRIAL SOUNDBATH AFTER DARK. A deeply immersive Soundbath in the atmospheric surroundings of a former counting station.⭐️ ABOUT: You’re invited to experience a soundbath somewhere completely different.
Inspired by Ceilingservice, Seoul’s urban Soundbath concept, this immersive evening of sound takes place inside an industrial warehouse. Chelmsford’s Mettleworks will be transformed after dark with candlelight and ambient lighting to create a warm, atmospheric space unlike a ‘traditional’ soundbath setting. It’s atmospheric and acoustically beautiful.
Surrounded by the character and architecture of the warehouse, the natural acoustics of the space will become part of the experience, amplifying the deep, resonating tones of the crystal singing bowls, drum and chimes, allowing the sound and vibration to fill the venue.

🏟️ ABOUT THE VENUE:
Mettleworks is a hub that has been built by Andy from the ground up to serve the cultural and creative landscape of Chelmsford.
This warehouse has a fascinating history. Once a secret cash counting warehouse that has kept its cash history with vaults and a money counting station.
💥 WHY IN A WAREHOUSE?
The acoustics of Mettleworks are phenomenal.
The building’s physical architecture, with its high, expansive ceilings and thick brick walls, reflect and contain the deep acoustics of the Soundbath.
The sounds of the crystal bowls vibrate and linger in the space, creating a longer decay which slowly fades into stillness.
🩷 THE STILLNESS: The stillness of a warehouse - Disused warehouses have a stillness and quiet about them.
The thick brick walls mean there is little competing noise, so every sound becomes noticeable.
This characteristic, combined with the natural acoustics, creates a beautiful raw space for an immersive Soundbath.

👜 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
This is your experience, and the more comfortable you are, the more deeply you’ll be able to rest, so please bring anything that will help you to feel comfortable. This could include:
✨ Extra padding to lay on
✨ Something to lie your head on
✨ Water
✨ Fluffy socks or cosy slippers for extra comfort on the warehouse floor.
☀️ THE RETURN:
Once the Soundbath has concluded, there will be time to slowly transition back into the room and ground your energy with some dark chocolate and raspberries.
After the Soundbath, you’re welcome to stay for a hot drink and look at the fascinating money history of the vaults and counting station.
🎶 HOW DO SOUNDBATHS WORK?
A soundbath uses the vibration and tones of sound to shift the energy within us and help guide the brain from a more active state into a deeper, relaxing brain state, whilst calming our nervous system.
Sound baths may seem like a new concept, but people have been using sound for centuries to relax, heal, and lift their spirit.
✌️NOTHING IS EXPECTED:
There are no expectations, no judgements, no pretences, this is just a peaceful space for you to unwind and receive exactly what you need.
🩷 DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?
No prior experience is required for a soundbath and is open to all above the age of 18, all genders and backgrounds welcome.
🕰️ ARRIVAL TIME:
Please arrive 5 mins before to settle in and create a cosy space for yourself. Once everyone is ready, you’ll be invited to lie down, (if thats comfortable for you) and I will then play an approx 50 minute therapeutic sound session.
🩷 ABOUT ME:
I have spent years studying the 'art of sound' to understand how sound can create harmony or dissonance within us. My soundbaths are intentionally composed of notes and sequences that create harmony and bring a lovely sense of wellbeing and balance.
I’m a friendly introvert who naturally enjoys nurturing others. Helping someone move from a place of tension to a place of ease and upliftment is the greatest gift I could ask for.
I attended my first sound bath in 2019 and left feeling amazing, so amazing that I knew sound journeys had to become a part of my life. 7 years on and 4 trainings later, I’ve dedicated myself to understanding how notes and frequencies can be blended to create harmony or dissonance in the body. As such, I’ve created a sound bath using only harmonious sequences.
‼️ ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS? Yes there are, please note the following and consult a qualified healthcare professional before attending if you have any medical concerns.
💕People with pacemakers, first trimester of pregnancy, artificial heart valves, some metal implants, epilepsy, severe mental health conditions, sensitivity. Although tinnitus isnt an official contraindication in my experience this can improve or worsen the condition. (Sound can resonate the metal and also change the rhythm of a pacemaker).
