About this Event
AfroFuturism Fest 2026 is a festival within the 25th Urban Mediamakers Film Festival. Spotlighting Black sci-fi, fantasy, and horror, the AfroFuturism Fest 2026 will showcase projects in competition. Event includes interaction with the creators of the projects, cosplay for prizes, artists, music, entertainment, workshops, and more.
This year we are spotlighting and honoring Octavia E. Butler, the godmother of AfroFuturism, and will discuss how her writings have been prophecy of what happening today in 202!
Film projects in the AfroFuturism category competition will be screening.
This ticket includes the 3rd Gwinnett Comic Con that is combined with the AfroFuturism Fest.
Youth 12 and under free and must be accompanied by an adult.
