Afro Fest Tech Day is a landmark initiative designed to bridge the digital divide and foster socioeconomic growth within African and Afro-diasporic communities.
The inaugural Afro Fest Tech Day brings together technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and digital arts to empower communities, bridge opportunity gaps, and drive economic growth. By uniting industry leaders, local businesses, educators, artists, creative professionals, and aspiring youth, the event serves as a catalyst for capacity building, resource accessibility, and professional networking.
Through interactive workshops, hands-on demonstrations, AI showcases, digital arts experiences, and strategic collaborations, participants will gain practical skills in emerging technologies while discovering how creativity and technology intersect. From digital design, animation, content creation, and multimedia storytelling to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, and entrepreneurship, attendees will explore career pathways and business opportunities that prepare them for the future digital economy.
Afro Fest Tech Day empowers participants to leverage cutting-edge technology, AI, and digital creative tools to strengthen their careers, grow their businesses, express their creativity, and build sustainable economic opportunities.
Afro Fest Dallas Tech Day is proud to partner with the Africa Initiative at the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM), The University of Texas at Dallas—a program dedicated to building stronger connections between the United States and Africa through education, business, leadership, innovation, and diaspora engagement.
The mission of Africa Initiative aligns closely with the vision of Afro Fest Dallas Tech Day: creating spaces where technology, culture, business, and opportunity intersect.
This partnership also highlights the growing opportunities at the intersection of Africa, the African diaspora, technology, and entrepreneurship, while creating pathways for students and professionals to connect with organizations and leaders working across these spaces.
