About this Event
Join us on 14 November for an evening celebrating Black Conscience Month in Brazil (Mês da Consciência Negra), a time to honour Black history, celebrate our heritage and recognise the contributions of Black communities.
Come together for an evening of culture, music, food, literature and community, featuring:
- Nyabinghi drumming
- 📚 A special book presentation by Professor Totti (Aristóteles Kandimba), author of The Book of Names from Angola
- 🎶 Music and dancing with our DJs
- 🍲 Delicious Afro-Brazilian food
Giving Back to the Source: Supporting the DRC
A portion of the proceeds will support a grassroots organisation working directly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). We are currently finalising arrangements with a specific organisation to ensure resources reach those working on the ground and directly supporting their communities. Further details will be shared once confirmed.
