Join the AFP Rockford Area Chapter on November 17 for a day of learning, connection, and friendly competition for fundraising and nonprofit professionals. This year's conference is at Rock Valley College’s Downtown West Campus, with a game-show twist on professional development. Expect practical ideas, honest conversations, networking opportunities, and fundraising knowledge tests.
We’ll discuss current fundraising topics, including storytelling, donor relationships, new technology, and challenges.
Dr. Kristian A. Aloma, a leading expert in the psychology of storytelling, will deliver the 2026 keynote speech. Drawing on his research and experience advising nonprofits, he’ll explore the impact of better understanding the people behind our stories on fundraising communication.
This session is a fitting way to kick off a day of skill sharpening, challenging assumptions, and improving fundraising. Whether you’ve been fundraising for 20 years, just started, or are new to development, there’s a place for you.
