COL David Bergmann
Project Manager, Cyber Warfare
COL David Bergmann was named Project Manager, Cyber Warfare, in July 2026. An Army Acquisitions Officer specializing in Program Management, he previously served as Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment and held leadership roles across PEO IEW&S, PM Ground Soldier Systems, TRADOC, and Combined Security Transition Command–Afghanistan.
COL Bergmann received his commission from the U.S. Military Academy in 2003. COL Bergmann holds an MBA from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military education includes Command and General Staff College and the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses. His awards include the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.
Mr. Wayne Sok
Project Manager, Defensive Cyber Warfare
Mr. Wayne Sok assumed the role of Product Manager for Defensive Cyber Warfare in July 2026. Previously, he served as Product Manager for Cyber Platforms and Systems under PM DCO and held leadership roles supporting Army Human Resource Systems, CHESS, and RCAS. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sok served as an Executive Officer at PEO EIS and as an Armor Officer in the U.S. Army, including leading an armor platoon in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Mr. Sok holds master’s degrees in National Resource Strategy from National Defense University and Program Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executive Fellows Program and holds advanced DAWIA certifications in Program Management and Engineering and Technical Management. His military and civilian awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device, and three Superior Civilian Awards.
LTC Erik Kifune
Product Manager, PdM Offensive Cyber Warfare
LTC Erik Kifune commissioned as an Infantry Second Lieutenant in June 2007. His initial assignment was with the 1st Cavalry Division, where he deployed as an Executive Officer before serving as a Platoon Leader and Battalion Operations Officer.
After completing the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, he was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division and deployed to Afghanistan as an Assistant Operations Officer. He subsequently commanded Charlie Company and later Headquarters and headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment.
Following company command, LTC Kifune transitioned to the Army Acquisition Corps. His acquisition assignments include roles as an Assistant Product Manager with PEO IEW&S, Capability Developer at the Maneuver Capabilities and Integration Directorate, and Science & Technology Portfolio Manager at the Army Research Laboratory. His most recent assignment was as a Training with Industry Fellow with Deloitte.
