The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) and DLF are pleased to invite you to a special event marking the launch of their new grass breeding partnership, which will support the future development and commercialisation of AFBI-bred forage varieties deriving from DAERA-funded research in breeding innovation.
For more than 70 years, the AFBI Grass Breeding Research Programme at Loughgall has helped define the standards of forage grass breeding, delivering elite varieties that continue to underpin grassland systems across Northern Ireland, Ireland and Britain.
This partnership brings together AFBI's breeding excellence with DLF's international variety development and commercial expertise to deliver improved forage varieties to farmers well into the future. The event will include a tour of AFBI's grass breeding trials and nurseries, followed by a networking lunch.
