About this Event
Nearly one in five women in New Zealand pursue STEM studies at tertiary level, yet women make up only 11% of our infrastructure workforce. The question isn't whether women are interested in these careers. It's whether our industry is creating the conditions for them to thrive.
Date: Wednesday 11th November, 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Location: AECOM House, 8 Mahuhu Crescent
You are invited to AECOM’s annual Networking for the Future evening, an event aimed at connecting early professionals across industry on topics that matter the most.
This year’s topic is Women in Infrastructure, highlighting the experiences of women in our industry. The evening will include a facilitated panel event and a Q&A, followed by an opportunity to network with female leaders and industry peers.
Our speakers bring diverse perspectives from across the infrastructure sector, spanning engineering, planning, consenting, executive leadership, strategic advisory and stakeholder engagement. Together, they offer a unique opportunity to explore the many pathways into infrastructure, the challenges women face throughout their careers, and what it takes to build a more inclusive industry. Our speakers include:
- Anna Martin - AECOM, Growth Director
- Jessica Zame - AECOM, Group Director - Water and Ground Engineering
- Tracey Hickman - Genesis, Chief Operating Officer
- Hannah Miln - Team Leader, Consent Planning, Transport Infrastructure, Auckland Council.
Food and drink will be provided. Please ensure to include any dietary or accessibility requirements we should be aware of in your RSVP.
While this event will focus on women’s experiences and perspectives, everyone is welcome to attend. We encourage all attendees to join this important and inclusive conversation.
