About this Event
The day will bring together community-based organization, NYCPS counselors as well as CUNY practitioners for a practical student-centered day of learning and connection.
This interactive event will explore how counselors can more effectively support undocumented students navigating the CUNY system—from understanding majors, certifications, stipends, and internship opportunities, to clarifying privacy protections and institutional protocols. Participants will hear directly from undocumented CUNY students about their academic journeys, where they are now, and what they wish they had known before starting college. The day will also include dedicated time for Q&A, networking, and a hands-on workshop designed to translate information into actionable advising strategies.
