Have you attended a poetry writing workshop before? This is for you! Together, we'll focus on the art of making stronger, resonant poems. Through close reading, generative prompts, and in-depth discussion, we'll explore form, voice, and revision as ongoing processes. Participants sould come ready to share work and engage seriously with others' writing in a collaborative and supportive space.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The workshop will meet in the loft of Bookstore1Sarasota, 117 S. Pineapple Ave., for five sessions from 12-2 p.m. on:

Registration is required. Workshop cost is $50, which includes a beautiful writing journal.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
DOUG KNOWLTON has been writing poems and lyrics since the 1960s. He finds it especially fulfilling to encounter writers and readers who are awakening to poetry's potential.
