Join the Heart of Galleries of Texas for their 3-part caregiver series on the adoption process! Caregiver Trainings provide knowledge, support, and guidance to caregivers to help them explore adoption and what it means for them and their family. This 3-part series, presented over 3 months, will explore topics such as understanding the adoption process, the social-emotional impacts of adoption, and strategies to navigate the lifelong adoption journey.
Session 2: Beyond the Dream - Understanding the Realities of Adoption
Session 2 Objectives:
- Discuss the social-emotional impacts of adoption on both caregivers and children.
- Deepen understanding of integrating a child into the family.
- Explore experiences and challenges you may encounter during the adoption journey.
This training is open to all caregivers, including foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers. We encourage everyone to register for a date for all three training sessions, as the sessions will cover different topics. All training sessions will be offered on three different dates.
