Unlocking opportunities for farm businesses – Enhancing the farmed landscape
From February to April, the Forestry Commission's South West Area Team are hosting a series of five webinars to highlight the specific opportunities that tree planting represents for farmers and landowners.
In this third webinar, we will be focusing on integrating woodland creation into farmed landscapes, in line with the UK Forestry Standard (UKFS). Learn how to make the most of your land whilst meeting environmental and sustainability goals. Expect expert insights with practical guidance on balancing productive farming with forestry, supported by UKFS principles, and real-world examples and case studies of interesting woodland design, both small and large.

- Responding to landscape context
- Applying woodland design principles
- Undertaking the woodland design process.
