Tasmania-based pianist and composer ade ishs is coming to Sydney for his debut featuring local stars Deva Permana on drums and Rory Brown on bass. Blending original material with fresh interpretations of jazz standards, the trio brings together melodic storytelling, fluid improvisation and dynamic rhythmic interplay. Expect an engaging evening shaped by the energy, responsiveness, and unpredictability of live jazz, guaranteed to make you go home with a smile. The show also reunites ade with two previous collaborators. Rory has recorded on one of ade’s albums, and they both played together at Ubud Village Jazz Festival in Bali, Indonesia, while ade and Deva shared the stage in Melbourne many years ago. Their Sydney appearance builds on those musical connections and at the same time opens the door to fresh ideas.
