🎨 ADAPTIVE ART DAY: Fall Junk Journal & Scrapbook WorkshopJoin Oxford Parks & Recreation for a special morning of creativity, connection, and fun designed specifically for children and adults with special needs and their families!
This relaxed, hands-on workshop is all about creating a space where everyone can enjoy art and crafting regardless of ability.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore fall-inspired journaling, scrapbooking, collage, and a variety of creative materials while creating alongside their parents, caregivers, siblings, and loved ones.
There is NO AGE LIMIT for this event! Whether the main participant is a child, teen, or adult, they are welcome to join us along with family members and caregivers!
🍂 WHAT TO EXPECT
• Fall-themed junk journaling/scrapbooking
• A variety of art supplies and creative materials to explore
• Flexible activity that can be enjoyed at different ability levels
• Opportunities to create independently, with family support and/or volunteer support
• A relaxed environment where participants can work at their own pace
• Plenty of room to explore, experiment, take breaks, and create in their own way
👨👩👧👦 WHO IS THIS FOR?
This event is specifically for children and adults with special needs and their families. Parents, caregivers, siblings, and other family members are encouraged to attend and create alongside the main participant(s)!
💛 OUR GOAL
We want to create an art experience where everyone feels welcome and supported. There is no “right” way to participate - whether someone loves creating, prefers to explore the supplies, needs assistance, works independently, or simply wants to enjoy the experience alongside their family, they're welcome here.

Thanks to a fundraiser earlier this year through Oxford Scrap Society and the generous support of our sponsors, donations, along with Oxford Parks and Recreation and the City of Oxford, this workshop is completely FREE for all attending participants and their families.

When registering, we'll ask a few questions about the main participants' interests, abilities, communication, sensory needs, and any accommodations that may help them have the best experience possible.
