“and from their hair, unending forest” is a solo performance departing from the rune Thurisaz (ᚦ), which is associated with giants, beings who, in Norse mythology, are cast as enemies of the gods and linked to chaos, threat, and otherness.Choreographer and performer Adam Seid Tahir examines these attributions and draws parallels to the marginalisation of Black people. At the center is the figure of Ymir, an intersex giant who, according to myth, was murdered and from whose body the world emerged.
Through the geography of death, afterlife, and the non-linearity of time, the stage becomes a world of transformation: a place where the body becomes weather, where hair becomes unending forests, where anger, sadness, and grief intertwine.

"and from their hair, unending forest" är en föreställning som tar sin utgångspunkt i runan Thurisaz (ᚦ), som förknippas med jättar, varelser som i den nordiska mytologin framställs som gudarnas fiender och kopplas till kaos, hot och utanförskap.
Koreograf och performer Adam Seid Tahir undersöker dessa tillskrivna egenskaper och drar paralleller till marginaliseringen av svarta människor. I verkets centrum står gestalten Ymer, en intersexuell jätte som enligt myten dödades och vars kropp gav upphov till världen.
Genom dödens och livet efter dödens geografi samt tidens icke-linjära natur förvandlas scenen till en värld av metamorfoser: en plats där kroppen blir till väder, där hår blir ändlösa skogar och där vrede, sorg och saknad flätas samman.
