Event Summary
Come slow down, settle into your body, and receive.
Join acupuncturist and Owner Daphne of OSCA and sound healer Lawanda of Pharaoh Essentials Wellness for a 90-minute experience where gentle acupuncture and restorative sound work come together to create space for deep relaxation and whole-person wellbeing.
Acupuncture. Sound. Stillness. One room to exhale.
No experience with acupuncture, meditation, or sound healing is necessary.
The Experience
What happens when the body is invited to rest while receiving both acupuncture and sound?
This monthly gathering offers a unique opportunity to experience the two practices together.
Daphne will provide gentle acupuncture using techniques rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, including Dr. Tan Meridian Therapy and Master Tung techniques.
While participants are receiving acupuncture, Lawanda will create a restorative soundscape using therapeutic instruments, vibration, and guided relaxation.
The sounds aren't simply something you'll listen to—they're an invitation to experience vibration throughout the body while you rest.
The result is a shared space for slowing down, softening, and reconnecting.
You don't have to meditate perfectly.
You don't have to clear your mind.
You don't have to “do” anything.
Just arrive. Get comfortable. Receive.
About Daphne
Daphne (she/her) founded OSCA in 2011 with a practice centered on whole-person health, including mental and spiritual wellbeing.
She earned her master's degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in 1997 and apprenticed with J.R. Worsley in Classical Five Element Acupuncture, known for its gentle needle technique and whole-body approach.
Daphne's acupuncture is gentle and intuitive, focused on over-all wellness and stress release.
Daphne has extensive experience in community-based acupuncture and has trained in NADA acupuncture, trauma and addiction protocols, and Paulus IVF protocols. She has also participated in humanitarian acupuncture work through Acupuncturists Without Borders, including work following Hurricane Katrina and the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
Daphne speaks Spanish.
“I love to see people quickly get the edge off of pain to the point where they can move more freely, medicate less and begin a trajectory in the right direction.”

Through therapeutic sound, vibration, guided meditation, and mindfulness practices, Lawanda creates accessible spaces where people can pause, listen, reconnect with their bodies, and rest.
