This event will be held in person.
Where: Bright Family Screening Room, Emerson Paramount Center, 559 Washington St., Boston, MA
In collaboration with the SAG-AFTRA New England Latino Committee and Cinefest Latino Boston, this workshop is centered on developing the whole performer— body, voice, imagination, and text —while building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and community.
Participants will begin by connecting with classmates, then participate in physical and vocal warm-ups, ensemble-building games, and improvisational exercises. The main activity uses tableaux (frozen images) to help participants communicate ideas, emotions, and social themes such as diversity, inclusion, equity, justice, and unity through physical storytelling.
The workshop is free for festival passholders and SAG-AFTRA members. Tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance through ArtsEmerson: https://artsemerson.org/events/cinefest-latino-2026/
