This August, the André Cailloux Center became the first and only Black-owned performing arts center in Louisiana. Now we’re coming home.Curated and headlined by A.J. Haynes, ACC Homecoming is an evening of music and spoken word about what it means to be home. It explores finding home in yourself, being away from it, what we carry when we return, and why home matters the way it does. A.J. is joined by poets TETRA (Sherina Rodriguez Sharpe and Chace Morris), Donney Rose, Kristiana Rae Colón, and Ever Taylor. Together they hold the word alongside her music in the former St. Rose de Lima Church on Bayou Road.
The concert concludes a day of Reckoning & Remembrance, beginning with the procession honoring Captain André Cailloux, followed by the building dedication and a tour of the Center. Homecoming Weekend continues Sunday, November 15.
Seating is limited to 120.
Join as a Friend of Cailloux. Become a recurring donor at The Parlor level ($25/month) by November 13, and your concert seat is included.
Single benefit tickets are $60. $20 of each ticket is a tax-deductible gift.
Everyone in the room that night is the base of people who will hold this house going forward. Come home with us.
