ACADIA 2026 Workshops: HUMANISM RECODED
Online & In-Person • Monday–Wednesday, October 19–21, 2026 (Detroit)
As part of the ACADIA 2026 conference "Humanism Recoded: Reframing Computation and Making through Embodiment and Culture," we're offering a curated series of hands-on workshops led by expert instructors from around the world. Workshops foreground human-centered computational design, embodied and culturally situated making, and emerging AI, robotics and fabrication workflows across theory and practice.
Format & schedule
Workshops run Mon–Wed, October 19–21, 2026, before the main conference (Oct 22–24).
Offerings are either In-Person or Online (see each ticket for details).
Each workshop is a full-day, multi-day commitment (3 days). Because sessions run concurrently, you can register for one workshop only.
Who should attend
Architects, designers, fabricators, researchers and students interested in AI-augmented design, computational making, robotic fabrication, embodied and situated design practices and critical theory.
Pricing & ticket types (varies by workshop; select the matching ticket under the workshop name). Exact prices and capacities are listed in the Tickets section of each workshop (e.g., most In-Person workshops are $325 Regular / $165 Student; Online and hybrid workshops range $75–$225 Regular / $40–$90 Student). Seats are limited.
