The Yas Marina Circuit is located on the man-made island, Yas Island near Abu Dhabi. It took 11 years to complete the construction of the track and the first race was held in 2009. The Yas Marina Circuit is a modern circuit dominated by its 1.2 kilometer straight between turns 5 and 6.
A unique feature is the pit lane exit at the track which passes under the circuit by means of a tunnel.
