About this Event
This is not a typical painting workshop.
It's an invitation to explore abstract art and embodiment. What makes it special is the watercolours you will be painting with, handcrafted using mineral pigments gathered in different parts of the world.
What to expect ✨
- A gentle introduction to painting with earth pigments.
- A short reflection-exercise and mindful warm-ups, to tune into your body and notice how you’re feeling.
- Choosing a template that resonates with you. All templates are related to the human body and they will serve as a starting point rather than a guide. After all, we are painting abstract!
- We will explore simple shapes, brushstrokes, and repetition to explore rhythm, movement, and balance.
- We close the session by coming together to share and reflect, if you feel like doing so.
- Take home your artwork (A5 watercolour paper).
I’ll guide you through the process, but there’s space for you to move at your own pace and follow what feels right.
This workshop is for you if:
- You’re new to painting or already have experience. This is open to all levels!
- You want a calm, creative space to unwind.
- You are curious to experiment with natural and sustainable painting materials.
- You enjoy slow, sensory and creative experiences.

- All materials included (100% cotton/cold-pressed watercolour paper, paintbrushes, and earth‑based watercolours.
Remember ☝️
You don’t need any experience, this is a guided and supportive space. You’re welcome to participate at your own pace, and there’s no pressure to “perform” or create something perfect.
About the Teacher ☯︎
Karelia is a Peruvian artist specialised in mineral pigment painting and mindful approach to art. Her unique palette is handcrafted from mineral pigments collected from Perú, Colombia, México, Spain, Romania and the UK, giving each workshop a truly organic and meditative quality.
She is an experienced teacher and you can find her online classes on Skillshare and Udemy.
