A relaxed abstract photography group workshop focused on urban environments within the city centre of Coventry. Whether it be patterns created by rusted metal on a fence or converging lines on the face of a building, there is a plethora of opportunities to create unique abstract photographs.

Terms of Service
By enrolling in photography workshops via Atmos’ website, you agree to the Terms of Service, which define rights, responsibilities, and policies. Please read the Terms of Service carefully before booking photography workshops via Atmos’ website.
Weather Forecasting
- If the weather forecast for the date/time/location of a photography workshop shows heavy rain (or other variations of severe inclement weather) right through the start-to-finish window, Atmos may reschedule the photography workshop for another date.
Workshops In-Progress During Weather Changes
- If a photography workshop is already in-progress and it starts raining, we will shoot for as long as it is practical — often it is just a passing shower — but if it sets in for a prolonged spell, Atmos may need to 'call it' and end the photography workshop earlier than the advertised time. Atmos’ practical method: if at least half of a photography workshop is completed, there is no reshoot or reschedule and participants will not receive a credit to put towards another photography workshop; if less than half of a photography workshop is completed, participants will receive a credit to put towards another photography workshop.
Minimum / Maximum Number of Participants
- Photography workshop dates are subject to a minimum number of three (3) participants and a maximum number of five (5) participants.
- In the rare event that a group photography workshop or 1:1 private session cannot go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances — whether due to a lack of demand or severe weather that makes photography unsafe or impractical — you will be offered the choice of alternative dates (where available) or a photography workshop credit (equivalent to the fee paid for the original photography workshop booking). Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Fitness
Each photography workshop has a fitness rating (easy access, easy, moderate, or hard) — this is shown in the 'Summary / Description' section found on each photography workshop booking page.
If you are unsure whether a particular photography workshop is suitable for you (or the person whom you are booking on behalf of), contact Atmos before booking and Atmos will share more information on what to expect.
Each fitness rating and accompanying description can be found below.
- Easy Access: Suitable for anyone, including conventional wheelchair users and individuals who use other types of mobility aids. Assistance may be required to push wheelchairs on some sections. Photography workshops that have an 'Easy Access' fitness rating usually involve flat walking / 'wheeling' at a leisurely pace. Most people with below-average (or higher) fitness should be able to manage comfortably with (i) short walks or short periods of 'wheeling' (5-15 minutes, less than a mile) and (ii) occasional gradual gradients.
- Easy: Suitable for anyone who does not have a mobility difficulty, a specific health issue, or is not seriously unfit. Photography workshops that have an 'Easy' fitness rating usually involve flat walking at a leisurely pace. Most people with below-average (or higher) fitness should be able to manage comfortably with (i) short walks (5-15 minutes, less than a mile), (ii) occasional steps or gradual gradients, and (iii) being on their feet for the duration of a photography workshop.
- Moderate: Suitable for most people with average (or higher) fitness. Photography workshops that have a 'Moderate' fitness rating usually involve a combination of flat walking, steps, and gradients at an average walking pace. Most people with average (or higher) fitness should be able to manage comfortably with (i) short walks (5-15 minutes, less than a mile), (ii) moderate walks (15-30 minutes, approximately 1 mile), (iii) occasional steps or gradients, and (iv) being on their feet for the duration of a photography workshop.
- Hard: Suitable for most people with average (or higher) fitness. Photography workshops that have a 'Hard' fitness rating usually involve a combination of flat walking, frequent steps, and steeper gradients at an average walking pace / brisk pace. Most people with average (or higher) fitness should be able to manage comfortably with (i) short walks (5-15 minutes, less than a mile), (ii) moderate walks (15-30 minutes, approximately 1 mile), (iii) long walks (30-45 minutes, approximately 1-2 miles), (iv) frequent steps and/or steeper gradients, and (v) being on their feet for the duration of a photography workshop.

Equipment
Essential:
- Camera(s) or a smartphone with a built-in camera (fully charged)
- Camera battery (fully charged) and additional batteries (if you have them)
- Memory card (e.g. SD card or CFexpress card) and additional memory cards (if you have them) — in case you require more storage to create and store photographs during a photography workshop.
- Camera lens / lenses (all camera lenses are suitable) — this could be a wide-angle zoom lens (e.g. 14-24mm), a standard zoom lens (e.g. 24-70mm), a telephoto zoom lens (e.g. 70-200mm), a prime lens (e.g. 35mm), a macro lens (e.g. 105mm), etc.
- Sensible footwear — Atmos recommends wearing slip-resistant and water-resistant footwear that is relatively lightweight, offers good ankle support and grip, and has soles with sufficient cushioning and stability (e.g. hiking / walking boots or trainers).
- Water, food, Medic*tion, or anything else that you may need for the duration of a photography workshop.
Optional:
- Raincoat (or equivalent) — in case of rain, snow, etc.
- Polarising filter — this can be useful for removing glare / reflections, reducing atmospheric haze, and increasing colour saturation in photographs.
- Neutral density filter(s) / graduated neutral density filter(s) — this can be useful for slowing down your shutter speed (e.g. long exposure photography) and creating shallow depth of field photographs in brightly lit environments.
- Effect filter(s) — this can be useful for adding creative effects (such as blur, lens flare, and kaleidoscopic reflections) to your photographs.
- Camera rain cover (or a large sandwich bag and an elastic band) to wrap around your camera(s) and lens / lenses — in case of rain, snow, etc.
- Kneeling mat or bin bag / liner to put on the ground — this can be useful for kneeling / crouching down and creating ground-level photographs.
If you have any specific questions regarding equipment, please contact Atmos here.
