About this Event
In this hands-on workshop, participants will create abstract collages using drawing tools and colorful paper scraps. Participants will explore layering, tearing, cutting, drawing, and arranging materials to build images through texture, color, and shape using physical, analog processes. The class will be led by visiting artist and master printmaker Jayes Caitlin, joining us from Portland, Oregon. Caitlin’s artistic practice spans painting, drawing, collage, and printmaking, creating mixed-media works.
The workshop will focus on experimentation and composition, encouraging participants to explore their own creative process. All materials are provided, and no previous art experience is required.
