About this Event
This organ recital is one of the programs for the American Guild of Organists 2024 National Convention headquartered in San Francisco from June 30 to July 4, 2024. This recital is open to the public, and tickets are not required.
Aaron Tan currently serves as Director of Music at St. Alban’s Catholic Church as well as the Church of St. Luke and St. Simon Cyrene, both in Rochester, New York. Previously he has served as Organ Scholar at Church of the Resurrection, New York City, Organ Scholar at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Detroit, Michigan, and Artist in Residence at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Detroit.
Mr. Tan’s program includes Paysages euskariens by Joseph-Ermend Bonnal, Wild Mossy Mountains by Judith Weir, The Nutcracker (Opus 71) by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, The Tree of Peace by Judith Weir, Sept Méditations sur le Saint Esprit by Jeanne Demessieux, Aux étoiles by Henri Duparc, and Symphonie V (Opus 47) by Louis Vierne.
