Aakaash - A Compelling Theatrical Performance by Seagull Theatre
What happens when an anonymous letter threatens to shatter the peace of a family and raises uncomfortable questions about a prospective son-in-law?
Aakaash, based on a story by the eminent Assamese writer Dr. Bhabendra Nath Saikia, is a thought-provoking theatrical production that explores the complexities of human relationships, trust and morality. When suspicion enters a household, it forces individuals to confront their past, question their assumptions and face the contradictions between their public image and private lives.
Blending humour, irony and psychological insight, Aakaash offers a penetrating portrayal of middle-class insecurities, social pretensions and moral hypocrisy. Its sensitive exploration of relationships and the hidden dimensions of human behaviour invites audiences to reflect on the fragile boundaries between appearance and reality.
The production has received an enthusiastic response from audiences, with Baharul Islam`s stupendous performance standing out as a major highlight. His compelling stage presence and powerful portrayal bring depth and intensity to the drama.
Thought-provoking yet entertaining, Aakaash promises an evening of meaningful theatre that will engage, move and stay with audiences long after the curtain falls.
