🌿 A Year & A Day: The Witches Path A 12-Week Immersive Journey with EarthyWitch

Traditionally, a year and a day has been recognized within some witchcraft traditions as a sacred period of study, devotion, spiritual exploration, and preparation for initiation.
In A Year & A Day: The First Book, EarthyWitch brings the spirit of this traditional journey into a concentrated 12-week experience—creating an intentional space to explore foundational practices of the Craft, deepen your connection to your own spirituality, and discover what resonates with your individual path.
Alongside the weekly teachings, you will begin creating your own Book of Shadows.
Your Book of Shadows becomes more than a place to take notes. As you put your experiences, discoveries, dreams, practices, and reflections onto paper, you are giving physical form to your spiritual journey. Over the 12 weeks, your book becomes a living record of where you began, what you explored, and how your practice evolved along the way.
✨ WHAT TO EXPECT
Each 60–90 minute class will include an opening grounding or meditation, focused teaching on the week's subject, hands-on practice, time for questions and discussion, and a journaling or integration practice to continue between classes.
Students will also be encouraged to develop a simple daily grounding practice and continue adding their experiences and observations to their Book of Shadows throughout the journey.
🌿 PART ONE | INTERNAL MASTERY & FOUNDATIONS
Week 1: Foundations of Energy
Breathing, grounding, centering, and shielding techniques.
Week 2: Sacred Space & Altars
Creating sacred space, designing altars, cleansing, and protective circles.
Week 3: Tools of the Craft
Exploring the four elements, traditional elemental tools—including the wand, blade, cup, and pentacle—and consecration practices.
Week 4: The Book of Shadows
Journaling practices, dream tracking, and organizing and developing your personal Book of Shadows or grimoire.
🌙 PART TWO | WORKING WITH NATURAL TIDES
Week 5: Lunar Magic
Exploring the waxing, full, waning, and dark Moon and learning to work intentionally with lunar cycles.
Week 6: The Wheel of the Year
The eight Sabbats, seasonal shifts, and ways of honoring the cycles of nature throughout the year.
Week 7: Plant & Herbal Magic
Botanical correspondences, safe herbal practices, infusions, and creating herbal sachets.
Week 8: Crystal & Mineral Energy
Exploring crystals and minerals, cleansing and charging practices, and an introduction to working with crystal grids.
🔥 PART THREE | APPLIED SPELLCRAFT & DIVINATION
Week 9: Spell Construction Theory
Building intention, choosing meaningful correspondences, and understanding how magical energy is raised and directed.
Week 10: Practical Spellcraft
Hands-on exploration of candle magic, knot magic, and creating spellwork through a safe and ethical approach.
Week 11: Introduction to Divination
An introduction to Tarot, runes, pendulums, and learning to recognize and trust your intuitive impressions.
Week 12: Ethics, Shadow Work & Initiation
Exploring personal magical ethics, meeting aspects of the shadow, reflecting on your 12-week journey, and concluding with a closing dedication ritual.

Your Book of Shadows will grow alongside you throughout this experience, so we encourage each student to have a dedicated book for the journey.

Or, bring your own! You are welcome to bring a journal, grimoire, Book of Shadows, or another special book that you would like to dedicate to your practice.
