A Winter Day is a work by contemporary Canadian composer, Sarah Quartel. The chorus will be accompanied by pianist, Ellyses Kuan and cellist, Julie Reimann (who also make up Duo Amie). The work is about 15 minutes long, and the poetry and music paint an image of winter day like we would experience on the South Shore.
We will offer several short selections of the season, from lovely to lively. A bit of a sing a long, too.
The concert will be an hour long.
Members of CAS are fully vaccinated and masked while singing. As other organizations, such as the BSO and TD Garden, we are asking our audience to show proof of full vaccination or a negative result from a PCR or rapid antigen test, taken within 48 hours of the concert. We will require the audience wear masks, too.
We are so glad to perform live again, and we want to do it as safely as possible for members and audience.
We hope that by spring, things will change for the better.
We often have a standing room only audience. We hope we have at least a sitting room audience! But we will not set up extra chairs We will accommodate only the number that can fit comfortably in pews for this concert, to de-densify the overall space.
