About this Event
As the days get warmer and brighter across our city, we are delighted in welcome you to our local Wimbledon walking tour. A perfect day out for any seasoned walker, or fresh-faced locals looking to appreciate what is on your doorstep!
Leading the day is author of The Walking Cure, and experienced urban explorer, Annabel Streets. Her day job is discovering the curative and therapeutic benefits of both rural and urban landscapes: from mountains to meadows, disused railway lines to rivers, and coastal cliffs to city parks. She investigates how walking benefits us not only physically, but also how we see, feel and experience ourselves and the world. Making her a perfect guide for some expanded scientific approaches to outdoor adventures.
Together we will uncover the effects of landscape and location on our health and moods, and why walking for happiness is the scientific best step forward we can make for ourselves.
Join us on Saturday the 20th of June, 10am as the booksellers get their muddy boots on!
