guided walk, in the company of friends.
About this Event
Discover hidden layers of history and hear stories of the characters who lived and worked in the heart of London on our expert guided walk. We begin in Blackfriars, once the site of a medieval priory.
We then cross the river Fleet to explore the hidden enclave of the Inns of Court, before emerging onto the Strand, to admire its grand buildings, and gritty backstreets. We then head into bustling Covent Garden, to hear about its monastic roots and the famous figures who lived and died here.
Our grand finale is Trafalgar Square, where we head to the Mudlark Exhibition in the beautiful Neoclassical church of St Martin-in-the-Fields.
The walk is led by Hands on History friend and expert London guide Sarah Williams-Robbins, aka Mrs Londoner - @meetmrslondoner.
