We will begin to gather for 11:30 a.m. at Bronte Creek Provincial Park – Day use entrance at 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville, ON and parking is available in parking lot “A”.(first parking lot after entering on your left).There is no cost for attending this event (entrance fees/passes to the park have been waived for this important gathering). Initial meeting space at the Green Shelter. (Map will be posted below)
Volunteers will be on-site to direct you and there will be event signage to guide you to the gathering point.
The day will begin with a meaningful ceremony, shared by Grandmother’s Voice, followed by a reflective walk on the land to remember and honour the children.
Our walk will be Trail #2 Maidens Blush Trailhead:
This paved trail winds through mature forest and is suitable for walking, roller blading and cycling. This trail is wheelchair accessible.
Together, by wearing an orange shirt on September 30th and coming together in ceremony, we affirm our shared commitment to the enduring truth that Every Child Matters.
