About this Event
Beer, spirits and Melbourne history come together on this walking tour through some of the city’s drinking landmarks. Hosted by Drinking History Tours, The Crafty Pint and award-winning spirits journalist Luke McCarthy from The Full Measure, the tour brings together three different perspectives on the way Melbourne has drunk, brewed and distilled over the generations.
Across four stops, you’ll visit places ranging from one of Melbourne’s classic pubs to a contemporary distillery, discovering the people, places and drinks that have helped shape the city’s drinking culture. There’ll be a welcome drink to get things started, plus specials along the way, but this isn’t simply a pub crawl, the drinks are merely the starting point for stories about Melbourne’s past.
Each tour starts at The Lincoln in Carlton before making its way through the city with a stop at Little Lon distillery. The other stops will be revealed along the way.
With just 30 places available on each tour, it’s a small-group way to explore a side of Melbourne you might otherwise walk straight past.
