Step into the glow of a Victorian Christmas at the Joplin Historical Neighborhoods Museum. For three special Friday evenings, the Schifferdecker and Zelleken homes stay open after hours so you can see these 1890s Murphysburg mansions by night in their Christmas finest. Our opening night on November 27 features the official lighting ceremony, when the grounds are illuminated for the season. Come see the lights switch on, then wander the homes and enjoy the evening. Highlights include open-house tours, tree displays, cookie decorating station, Victorian parlor games, mulled cider and hot cocoa, and a photo station. The gift shop will also be open. Stop in for a new Christmas tradition in Joplin!
