Guitarists Pete Madsen, Jeffrey Hillgrove, and Ross Hammond will perform an evening of John Fahey and Fahey-inspired music. Fahey, the father of American Primitive guitar, has been an inspiration to acoustic fingerstyle guitarists for decades. His stark instrumental compositions were influenced by early American blues artists, as well as classical, Indian ragas, and other elements.Timbre Folk is a charming music shop located close to Berkeley's aquatic park.
