FORMATS
Women's Doubles & Men's Doubles are play on Saturday, September 6th
Coed Doubles & Gender-Blind quads will be played Sunday, September 7th
AA, A, BB and B division
NEW MODIFIED B DIVISION
In an effort to make tournaments more accessible for our newer players, we’re trying out some modifications to our B division this season.
• Entry Price is $20/player
• Games will use Rally scoring
All other divisions remain the same

Key "Old School" rules
• Large Court (30x60)
• Sideout scoring
• No Let serves (serve touching the net)
• Block does not count as a touch
• No open-hand tips, sets or pushes over the net
If pool play is not wrapping up by 4:00pm, you may need to switch to rally scoring. Playoffs need to start around 5pm to finish by sundown.
PRIZES
•Cash Prizes for 1st place in A and AA divisions
•Merch/Opensports credit for B and BB
If there are not enough teams to fill a divisions, we may combine divisions
FUNDRAISER
This tournament aims to raise $5000 for the Philly Beach fund, whose mission is to create a series of beach volleyball courts for players in Philadelphia.
NOTES
• 8:30 check-in, 9:00 start
• Tournament shirts and other shirts available for purchase while supplies last
• No special "start-time" accommodations
• Your teammate must sign the waiver by joining your team; help is available if this proves difficult
• We will be grilling for donations to the Philly Beach fund
• Don't sandbag
• You should register for the division of the highest level player on your doubles team.
• For quads there is a bit more wiggle room, since there are specialized positions, but the average level of your team should be the level you are registered for.
• If you have placed (1st or 2nd) in your division twice you should move up to the next level
• While we would prefer to keep a light touch, we reserve the right to move teams to a more appropriate division if their play history indicates that they are in the wrong division.
