We all experience sensory overload in one way or another.The bright lights, the notifications, the endless stream of information. Our families, our businesses, our responsibilities and the many things competing for our attention.
With Christmas approaching, I can already feel the pace beginning to pick up. And it feels like a good time to create a little space between.
A Space Between is an opportunity to step out of the rush for a while and become more aware of how we engage with the world around us, what has our attention and where our energy is going.
We'll begin with a brain dump, getting what's taking up space in our minds onto the page. From there, we'll explore our inner, outer, digital and natural worlds, noticing what fills us up and what drains us.
Through guided reflection, drumming, silence and time for personal exploration, we'll create space to turn down the noise and settle into a different rhythm.
You might choose to journal, write, draw or explore inwardly. You might find yourself sitting quietly, with no particular thing to do.
There's something valuable in having time that doesn't need to lead anywhere. Time to pause, to notice and to let your attention rest somewhere different.
