A Veterans Day Celebration of Love, Service & Gratitude

This Veterans Day, join Hearts of Grace Foundation as we come together to honor the brave men and women who have selflessly served our country.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2026, we will join fellow community partners in bringing a memorable Veterans Day celebration to veterans through delicious BBQ meals, thoughtful care packages, entertainment, and, most importantly, meaningful human connection.
We are grateful to have award-winning BBQ pitmaster Simon “Diablo” Flores preparing delicious meals as part of this collaborative initiative.
Many of the veterans we are honoring are seniors, individuals living with disabilities, or those who may have limited family support. For some, a warm meal, a friendly conversation, and the simple reminder that someone cares can mean more than words can express.
Our mission is simple: No veteran should ever feel forgotten.
💗 Volunteers Needed — Come Serve With Us!
We invite individuals, families, students, businesses, and community organizations to share a few hours of their Veterans Day making a meaningful difference.
📅 Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026
📍 Location: De George, 1418 Preston St, Houston, TX 77002
⏰ Event Time: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Available Volunteer Shifts:
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Setup, welcoming veterans, preparing care packages, and assisting with meal service.
- 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Meal service, engaging with veterans, distributing gifts, and cleanup.
- 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Join us for the entire celebration and help wherever needed.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your selected shift for check-in and volunteer assignments.
Volunteer registration is completely FREE!
🎁 Donations & In-Kind Sponsors Needed
We’re inviting local businesses, organizations, and generous individuals to help us bring additional joy and comfort to our veterans.
We are currently seeking:
- Beverages, bottled water, and soft drinks
- Sweet treats and individually packaged desserts
- Hygiene products and personal care essentials
- Canned goods and nonperishable foods for care packages
- Photo booth services, balloon decorations, and festive décor
- Music, entertainment, and other special surprises
Every contribution, large or small, helps make this celebration more meaningful.
