Evonndalynn Consulting presents Shine A Light On Trauma (S.A.L.O.T.)™ A Rose that Grew Out of Concrete Selfie Room Photo Exhibition Gallery. We want to Shine A Light On Trauma, not exploit it, but continually bring about awareness. Our students come into our schools daily with a lot going on in their lives that we may never even know. We want to encourage, support and let them know regardless of their circumstances they too can become the beautiful rose that grew from concrete. We want to remind them that even though society and/or social media may have visuals of what success or greatness looks like and comes from, you can always prove it/them wrong just like the rose that grew out of concrete. You define what greatness and success looks like and means to you. Evonndalynn Consulting would like to highlight some young adults who are roses that grew out of concrete. Our message to students will be that whatever you are going through, these young adults may have been through it also while in school, so keep dreaming and pushing through. Our message to school administrators, teachers, staff, volunteers and community members is to please see past students' imperfections and give them time to grow, you never know what they are carrying. Evonndalynn Consulting wants to remind us all that the students who are coming into school are not adults even though you may think they are “acting” or “looking’ like adults. We want you to believe in them and root for them now, not years later when you see them and then and only then tell them that you always knew that they were going to be something in life, by that time it might be too late. Let them know now, not just in elementary school but in middle and high school also. Evonndalynn Consulting looks at every individual with a wholistic approach and believes that one day they will turn it around with the right support and resources.
