About this Event

This event is for young people with lived experience of age assessment procedures within the UK asylum system, and will give you the opportunity to share your experiences in a supportive and respectful environment.

It’s a chance to meet others who understand; to exchange experiences; and to have open, honest conversations about age dispute challenges and realities. It will be a relaxed and welcoming space to share, connect, be heard, and be part of a project which will argue for positive change for others. We’ll aim to build trust, listen deeply, and learn from one another.

The longer-term project you can contribute to:

Over the next few months, we are aiming to collect stories and experiences of age assessment procedures to make a book of testimonies of young people’s experience. The book will aim to raise awareness, influence policy, and amplify the voices of young people impacted by age assessment procedures.*

Together, we’ll explore ideas and co-design an age assessment campaign that reflects real experiences and priorities. Your insights will directly shape how this work is developed and delivered.

If you haven’t already, please feel free to fill out our survey here: Young Outspoken Survivors Age Dispute Consultation - Have your say – Fill out form
