Your local Sierra Club Group, the Winding Waters Group, invites you to an open discussion about the current status of our public lands, and what actions are needed to help protect and restore them. We intend this discussion to be wide ranging, covering lands from our local Indiana Forests and State Wild Areas, to our National Parks and Monuments.Rather than our usual presentation format, this will be YOUR time to talk! While we do plan to share current information on the state of public lands, such as controversial logging activities in Indiana, plans to create new roads through wilderness forests, and how the current administration has reduced the size of two of our National Monuments in Utah by over 90%, most of all we want to hear your ideas, thoughts, and questions.
Your voice on these issues will help us all create a way forward together to protect these places, and keep them in public hands.
