About this Event
A Practice for Peace
In honour of International Day of Peace, I invite you to a free Sunday morning practice dedicated to slowing down, turning inward, and reconnecting with a sense of peace within ourselves.
Peace is a very big word.
We often think about peace in relation to the world around us. But what does peace actually feel like inside our own body? How do we recognize it? And when life becomes busy, uncertain or overwhelming, do we still know how to return to it?
During this class, we will intentionally slow everything down.
We will begin with gentle, mindful movement, giving the body time to open and soften without rushing from one posture to another.
From movement, we will gradually move toward stillness, breath awareness and meditation.
There will also be a short free-writing practice — simply allowing thoughts, feelings and observations to come onto the page without trying to make them perfect or even make sense.
We will finish with a long, nourishing relaxation.
What to expect
• Slow and gentle yoga movement
• Breath and body awareness
• Guided meditation and introspection
• A short free-writing practice
• Deep relaxation / Savasana
• A quiet, supportive atmosphere
No advanced yoga experience is needed.
This practice is not about flexibility or achieving a particular pose. It is an opportunity to give yourself some space, listen to your body, and perhaps experience what peace feels like for you.
