👻 Join us on Halloween for a night full of ghouls, goblins, and ghosts, aka "A Nightmare on Congress Street", Saturday October 31st 2026 for Savannah's LARGEST Halloween Party & Costume Contest! 🎃
💰 HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST - $2,000 IN PRIZES 💰$2,000 will be given away at Savannah's largest Halloween COSTUME CONTEST! All crawlers are automatically entered once registered. A photographer will be taking contestants' photos near registration from 4pm-8pm, with the official event backdrop, of all who wish to enter. Be sure to give them your biggest smile or scariest pose.
🧠 1. Focus on Originality
DIY all the way — The judges love handmade, one-of-a-kind creations. Skip store-bought costumes or at least customize them heavily.
Concept matters — Think of a creative twist on a classic idea (e.g., zombie astronaut, haunted vending machine, ghostly couple from history).
Details count — Add props, makeup, and interactive elements (e.g., sound effects, moving parts, lighting).
😱 2. Lean Into the “Scary” Factor
It is Halloween — don’t forget the fright! Judges will be looking for costumes that bring spooky energy.
Use makeup and effects to enhance realism (fake blood, eerie contacts, special FX makeup).
Consider psychological horror too — creepy characters, unsettling illusions, or eerie storytelling in your presentation.
👯 3. Group or Duo Costumes = Big Impact
Teams often dominate — coordinated looks or connected themes stand out in photos and on stage.
Examples: Haunted carnival troupe, undead wedding party, spooky Scooby gang, or famous horror movie cast.
Practice a group pose or mini act — judges love a performance moment when taking the official photo.
📸 4. Nail the Photo Moment
The contest photographer’s photo is what the judges will use to decide — make it count.
Strike a memorable pose that shows off your costume’s best features.
Think about lighting and angles — glowing accessories or contrasting colors help you pop in pictures.
💬 5. Engage and Stay in Character
Judges notice contestants who stay in character and interact with the crowd.
Be friendly, playful, or creepy depending on your persona — it shows commitment and confidence.

-People's Choice (most Facebook likes): One Year Free Entry to Bar Crawls.
+You do not need to complete your scorecard in order to participate in the costume contest. Each “A Nightmare on Congress Street” participant has the opportunity to win the $2,000 costume contest. Please provide our photographer your name, phone number, and your "costume" so we can contact the winner. The winner will be chosen by judges and contacted the following week. People's choice is based on how many likes you receive on your photo which will be posted in our Facebook Photo Album.

**Drinking is 100% optional! Although this is a "bar crawl", that doesn't mean you are required to drink to participate. You do not have to purchase drinks at any bar in order to participate, get your scorecard stamped and earn your Savannah Bar Crawl t-shirt. We love and welcome Designated Drivers to join us. If you do choose to drink, please drink responsibly.

START: Packet pickup will be at Stafford's Public House between 4pm-8pm both days of the crawl. Please bring your 21+ ID.
END: Pick up your T-shirts at TBA anytime between 6pm-10pm both days of the craw.

HOW DOES A BAR CRAWL WORK?
Participants crawl at their own pace instead of all together in one huge group. Once crawlers pickup their scorecards at the starting bar, they then travel to all the bars listed enjoying drink specials and getting their scorecard marked at each bar. After visiting all the bars on the list, crawlers join us at PTBA to get your t-shirt!!
THE GOAL
Complete your scorecard by visiting each participating bars and be one of the first 100 crawlers to receive a t-shirt. As you enter the venue, the doorman or bartender will “mark” their respective bar’s section of your scorecard. You do not have to purchase a drink to have your scorecard marked.
FREE STUFF
On top of drink specials, all participants will receive a koozie, a bunch of swag from our sponsors (while supplies last), a scorecard/map to mark your progress, and free entry into all participating bars. Also, the first 100 participants to complete their scorecard will receive an official Savannah Bar Crawl Event t-shirt!
AFTER PARTY
After you have had your scorecard marked at all the bars, join us at Pour Larrys for the official after party. This is also where you will pick up your FREE/RESERVED t-shirts between 6PM-10PM. Remember, we are only giving away FREE shirts to the first 100 crawlers with a finished scorecard. Hang around and party with Savannah's best afterwards. Make sure to bring your score card as proof of participation.
FREE T-SHIRTS
We will be giving away FREE t-shirts (size S-XL) to the first 100 crawlers to join us at the after party with a completed scorecard. XXL and XXXL will need to be purchased to guarantee in your size.
~Many of you want t-shirts, so for an extra $19.99 (S-XL) $21.99 (XXL-XXXL) you may guarantee yourself a t-shirt, in your size, to be waiting for you at the After Party! You will find this option on the registration form.
~T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE CUT OFF 1 WEEK PRIOR TO BAR CRAWL TO ENSURE ACCURATE ORDER COUNT. You will be able to purchase t-shirts at the after party for $25
~NOTE: You will only receive ONE t-shirt. This feature is to guarantee yourself a t-shirt when we run out and guarantee it will be in your size. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to try to be one of the first 100 crawlers and get a free t-shirt, size not guaranteed.
