About this Event
Join us for a unique night of overlapping and alternating music and comedy from the minds of a singer-songwriter duo and standup comedian who are really good friends.
Nashville-based singer-songwriter duo Oh Jeremiah and Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian Jared Kassebaum have a longstanding deep and abiding friendship. Jared dabbles in some music with his comedy. Jeremiah and Erin dabble in some comedy with their music. It’s a real Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ‘you’ve got some chocolate in my peanut butter’– ‘well, you’ve got some peanut butter in my chocolate’ kind of scenario. Together, they are teaming up to bring a night of overlapping music and comedy on tour. You’ve seen music, you’ve seen comedy, you’ve seen musical comedy, you’ve seen comedy musicals. But you’ve never seen this.
Who is Oh Jeremiah?
Every story has a beginning and Oh Jeremiah’s begins in Mississippi. Not only did Jeremiah and Erin Stricklin meet and fall in love in the Magnolia State, but the two also formed the band inside the halls of their Alma Mater: University of Southern Mississippi. Jeremiah was born and raised in the Land of the Yellow Pines, a little further north in Laurel. It’s that very same town that inspired the band’s third album, Jones County Ghosts. Each song is a chapter in the life of a boy in a small Mississippi town; whether it be the civil war hero he grew up next to, the HGTV show that changed his home forever, or the alligator in his backyard his dad keeps referring to as his little brother.
Who is Jared Kassebaum?
Jared Kassebaum is a Midwest-bred, LA-based comedian and actor who can be seen on TBS's 'Foul Play with Anthony Davis', where he pranks professional athletes. His first album, The Better Jared, hit #1 on iTunes in 2023 and can be heard on SiriusXM. He got to represent millennials as a comedian in a competition on Good Mythical Morning with Rhett and Link, the internet's top daily talk show. He can often be seen on the high seas as one of the headlining comedians aboard Norwegian Cruise Line.
